    • Airbourne geben weitere Details zum neuen Album bekannt

Hier eine interessante News von der englischen Airbourne-Fansite (http://www.airbourneukfansite.co.uk/)

In their December issue Metal Hammer magazine bring us a great little article on Airbourne, with a couple of cool new photos and more insights into what we can expect from the forthcoming ‘No Guts No Glory’ album.

Joel confirmed that as we suspected ‘Born to Kill’ (the song the guys premiered in New Zealand last month) will appear on the album, which will also feature a song called ‘Steel Town’, which has its roots in our very own City of Sheffield. Joel states ‘I suppose you could say it’s about Sheffield. I’ve got a recording of the first time the riff was played, and it was in Sheffield at soundcheck. We were driving through and we could see all the factories and smoke going up into the sky and it was pretty cool. In Australia there’s a big steel town called Newcastle and it’s a similar kind of setup, so yeah, it’s a song about that.’

‘No Guts No Glory’ is due for release on February 22. Recording took place in Chicago with Johnny K at the production helm and the result is currently being mixed by Mike Fraser at Warehouse Studios in Vancouver. Mike’s credits include several AC/DC albums, including ‘Stiff Upper Lip’ and ‘Black Ice’, Metallica, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Thunder’s ‘Back Street Symphony’, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Slipknot and many more.

Metal Hammer state that the album promises to be one of the highlights of 2010 and Joel is happy to reassure fans that the album is not going to deviate from their kick arse rock ’n’ roll style, it’s just going to sound bigger and really capture the feel of the band. Joel laughs “It’s about rock ‘n’ roll, women, fighting, and drinking!”
