Auch beim Sonisphere Festival 2009 haben Airbourne gestern mal wieder richtig die Bühne gerockt. Die Engländer sind absolut begeistert.

"Soil started it off by jumping in the crowd during the first set of the day, but Airbourne have taken it to a whole new level (fair enough, it’s the biggest gig they’ve ever played). Joel O’Keefe climbed the tower as far as it would go and then the frontman with a lot of front dangled from it by one hand. His roadie watched on from underneath as if his world was about to end, which, we suppose, work-wise it very well might have if Joel had fallen. After his sky-scraping experience Joel jumped into the crowd and played some guitar.
Of course, Team Sonisphere got the inside skinny from the skinny singer.

“From the stage you can’t see enough. It’s the best seat in the house,” explains Joel. “When you’ve got the poor buggers standing out in the rain, you’ve got to do something death defying.”
One of Team Sonisphere’s better halves once described Airbourne as the Australian AC/DC, which we all found pretty hysterical. "
